InFiCa
Formed
in Nov. 2005, Indian Film-viewers' Critics Association, InFiCa,
is a growing group of discerning viewers who critique Hindi
entertainment based upon the appropriate aspects of a movie
or performance. The critiques are based upon established approaches
towards reaching a collaborative 'absoluteness of judgement'
.
We are a simple initiative, a simple site really - a bunch of us trying to influence the movie world! We plan to be so for sometime as we keep on adding more features and keep finding more of our clan - the discerning viewers. And we plan to grow - slowly but surely!

InFiCa was borne off a fury - a group of us watching a film award ceremony in utter shock & disgust! Aren't discerning Hindi movie viewers taken for granted? Many strong starred and super-hyped movie releases take place through out the year - many of these movies are direct rip-offs, many of them have the most ludicrous of plots and value ... and then there are umpteen examples of utter nonsensicals..., yet they go on to win some of the most coveted awards! So are we taken for a ride?
There are umpteen Hindi movie review sites. There are many sites where fans nominate their 'Gods' based upon individual whims and biases. Then there are such sites, where the professional critics do a thorough job of critiquing - so thorough that it does not really sync up with the intellectual film viewers. None attempt to portray fairness, simplicity, intellectuality and clarity - no site represents the discerning Indian film viewer!
We strive here to represent the discerning and intellectual movie viewers of India! If you feel in sync, welcome aboard ... join us & create your own movie profile at Infica. ________________________________

InFiNominals:
Critics at InFiCa, besides reviewing movies, also nominate performances. The InFiNominations represent the current standings for outstanding and ‘ phenomenal' performances in various performance categories.
Must Sees:
These movies are the best picks. These are examples of original plots [ to the best of the critics' knowledge, of course ], near perfect technicalities, and flawless cast and direction among other movie essentials. You must find time to watch these movies, you MUST make it a point to watch these movies.
Should Sees:
These movies are the 2nd best picks. You should definitely watch these movies. All movies are also rated for Story Originality factor at InFiCa, so many movies which would be otherwise flawless on many counts could end up in the Should See category for want of an original story/plot. Do make it a point to watch such movies.
Time Pass:
Okay, it's a lazy day and you've nothing better to do. You decide to watch a movie. Or you are hanging out with your friends somewhere & you guys decide to watch a movie. You also do not have access to any of the movies listed under Must Sees & Should Sees. Under these circumstances, it would be a good idea to pick one of the Time Pass movies. You would not end up wasting your time (may be you would - to a tolerable, non frustrating extent) , but you wouldn't have utilized your time either… ekdam time pass … Avoids:
Don't watch them.

InFiCa was formed in Nov of 2005. After a rather long hiatus, plan is to move forward this year on. No plans to review/rate/critic movies older than 2005. Even 2005/2006 movies might not be completely covered. ________________________________

There are two kinds of users at InFiCa: Infi-critics/anticritics & Infi-viewers.
Inficritics form InFiCa's core group. They are a growing group
of discerning and intellectual film viewers who critque, and optionally anti critique, Hindi
entertainment based upon appropriate quantitative and qualitative credentials. InFiCa's where they also maintain their personal critique profiles @ Inficritic Home.
Infi anticritics have a sense of wittiness, humour, slam 'em attitude about them. The 'slam 'em irrespective' funda has come from a thought that yes movies can be good, they can be very good - but so what? They can still be slammed, right? Let's have some fun. InFiCa's where they also maintain their personal movie anticritique profiles @ Infianticritic Home.
Infi Viewers are active movie buffs. They might not want to critique or anticritique but they might want to be an active participant at the site - be it rating, discussing, arguing... They also might disagree with the critics and might want to let their disagreements known or discussed.
I'm a film critic / viewer who would like to critique / anticritique films on InFiCa. Can I start contributing?
InFicritic and InFianticritic membership is open to all intellectual
and discerning film viewers, but there is a selective process.
If you are interested in being an InFiCritic or an InFi Anticritic, you're most welcome! Please follow the Quick Join link below and select the appropriate option.

We need to improve. We are seeking more ideas which can help add value to a film viewer. We think that anticritique is a great idea and the way the movies are critiqued internally is a great idea. This is a site for us all and we need your contribution. So if one day you find that bulb suddenly burning bright ... send it to us! Not the bulb dude..., the idea! Please do send us an email at contact@infica.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
